From Injury to Passion: My Journey as a Fitness Trainer

Hi There and Welcome!

I'm Denice, a fitness trainer, and I'm so excited to have you here. I want to take a moment to share a little bit about my journey and how I discovered my passion for helping others feel strong and empowered.

I have been happily married for almost 30 years and have 2 wonderful children. I have always been a very active mom, but little did I know that a slight injury to my legs would completely change the course of my life.

My health journey started in 2007 with a freak injury to my left ankle, which made me realize that keeping fit would be the only way to stay healthy. Then, in 2014, an injury to my right knee led to the discovery of a very rare, debilitating inflammatory disease that affects my joints. This revelation marked the beginning of a continued recovery journey and also started my path as a health and fitness trainer.

In October 2023, I underwent a total ankle replacement, a significant milestone in my ongoing journey. However, the battle against this disease persists, as I recently discovered it has also affected my left ankle. With both limbs impacted by this condition, I want to encourage you to not give up. You are not alone in your fight for personal strength, even with physical challenges.

What began as a personal mission to overcome my own challenges soon blossomed into a passion to help others on their own fitness journey.

Today, as a CPT/ Functional Health & Strength Specialist, I feel blessed to be able to combine my knowledge, experience, and empathy to support and guide others in their pursuit of strength and wellness. There's nothing more fulfilling than seeing clients transform physically and mentally, witnessing their confidence soar as they realize what they are truly capable of.

So, whether you're just starting out on your fitness journey or looking for fresh inspiration, you've come to the right place. Here, I'll be sharing workouts, nutrition tips, mindset strategies, and everything in between to help you feel strong, empowered, and ready to conquer any challenge that comes your way.
